Kolekt user story: December Waste Services, Kenya

December Waste Services (DWS), Nairobi, Kenya, uses the Kolekt app to register all of its purchases. DWS buys LDPE plastic, which it then processes into pellets for the production of construction materials and PP raffia which it turns into PP pellets, which are then sold on to another recycling company, who make plastic products, such as basins.

Material purchases can be made using the Kolekt app even with sellers who do not have smart phones, or any phone at all, via facial recognition, allowing anyone to trade waste profitably.
